One-layered Steel Plate

Steel plate is a blocker in Scrubby Dubby Saga. It is introduced in the first episode, Soaphara Desert, level 7. As the game progresses, it gathers more and more layers; therefore it makes the game harder.

Properties[]

Steel plate is a stationary blocker that occupies one space. It can be broken by making a match adjacent to it, or through any effect of bottles reaching the blocker. As with all other blockers, foam might be underneath it. If a foam is underneath a box, the player is required to first clear the box before reaching the foam.

The number of times a soap is needed to be broken next to it increases. When a match is made next to a Steel plate, it changes in appearance representing the number of layers left.

The steel plate has several unique properties. It is one of the blockers that the soaps can actually pass and fall through it (Jails also have similar property). Another strange, and quite possibly one the most annoying properties is that they are resistant to bottles. If a striped bottle's effect hits this blocker, it will take up a layer or get rid of the blocker but won't get rid of any other soaps beyond it. If a glowing bottle's effect hits this blocker, it will take up a layer or get rid of the block adjacent to it but won't get rid of any other nearby soaps. This can become a serious problem in later levels. Here is a list of the types of the this blocker:

  • One-layered Steel Plate - Introduced in level 7 in the first episode, Soaphara Desert. It only takes one match adjoining to the slot to clear it.
  • Two-layered Steel Plate - Introduced in level 61 in the fourth episode, 3 Wishes Cavern. It takes two hits to destroy. When the blocker is hit the first time, the player can see a one-layered steel plate. It features a one-layered steel plate with blue horizontal line.
  • Three-layered Steel Plate - Introduced in level level 101 in the sixth episode, Puffy Plains. It takes three hits to destroy. It features a one-layered steel plate with blue cross. This is currently the most layered sandcastle, and one of the blocker which takes the most hits, along with three-layered nut.
